Wash U’s ID-CRU conducts research in several areas such as: HIV Treatment, HIV Prevention, Hepatitis and Sexually Transmitted Diseases as well as other general vaccine studies. No matter your health, age or gender we may have a study for YOU. Here are a few of the studies for which we are currently enrolling.
A5324: If you are HIV+ and are interested in brain and memory health this could be the research study for you. Participants may receive medications to see if they improve mental functions such as recall, learning, and attention span.
Our new HPTN 083 -PrEP study is recruiting HIV-negative men and and transgender females to determine whether a long-acting injectable is as effective at protecting against HIV as taking oral Truvada daily. See if you qualify for HPTN 083 by clicking the link below.
Bacterial Vaginosis: We are looking for healthy women with a current vaginal bacterial infection called bacterial vaginosis (sometimes referred to as BV) to take part in a study of the vaginal powder, LACTIN-V. This study is to determine Lactin V’s role in preventing the recurrence of Bacterial Vaginosis.
The ID-CRU has many more ongoing studies. Transportation and monetary compensation are often provided.
