Once again, with the leadership of David Warren, MD, MPH, WashU ID welcomed four infectious diseases fellows from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. The fellows had a three-week observership in healthcare epidemiology and infectious diseases. They spent a week rounding with WashU/Barnes-Jewish Hospital Infection Prevention staff and ID faculty involved in healthcare epidemiology and infection prevention. The fellows also were able to engage in clinical observation in General Infectious Diseases and Transplant Infectious Disease. This opportunity allows fellows and faculty to exchange knowledge about the similarities and difference in management of infection prevention and infectious diseases between the United States and Thailand.
I greatly appreciate the time, effort, and support you and your team provided in making our experience both enriching and insightful. Your collective guidance has significantly broadened my understanding and will undoubtedly contribute to my professional growth.
