Dr. Mati Hlashwayo Davis, ID fellow alumnae 2018, was invited by CNN to participate in a podcast along with infectious diseases specialist and CNN medical analyst, Dr. Celine Gounder.
Dr. Davis, an instructor in medicine, sees patients at the John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO and recently became an associate director of the ID Division fellowship program.
Dr. Hlatshwayo also has a leadership role in the Office of Inclusion and Diversity at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Hlatshwayo focus is on policy development, community engagement and the recruitment, retention and mentorship of underrepresented trainees in the Washington University School of Medicine.
