Dr. Kwon recently joined the IDSA Research Committee. The goals of the IDSA Research Committee are to promote research and new advancements in infectious diseases; to monitor developments and make recommendations related to federal support for biomedical research; and to make recommendations on activities/issues under its purview that involve federal legislation and regulation.
Jennie has also joined the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) Research Committee. The goals of the SHEA Research Committee are to set SHEA research priorities and to lead research in healthcare epidemiology and antimicrobial stewardship; identify opportunities to conduct, sponsor, or promote high quality research projects including those utilizing the SHEA Research Network, to support and develop future healthcare epidemiology researchers; and to diversity funding for SHEA projects.
