William Powderly, MD

William Powderly, MD, the Larry J. Shapiro Director of the Institute for Public Health as well as the J. William Campbell Professor of Medicine and co-director of the Division of Infectious Diseases, was inducted, May 19, 2016, as an honorary member of the Gamma Sigma chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.

Dr. Powderly was nominated by his peers who recognize his commitment to teaching, advising, mentoring, his leadership in Public Health at Washington University and in the St. Louis region, and his scholarly contributions to the field of public health. The induction took place at the Washington University George Warren Brown School of Social Work at a formal recognition ceremony held on the day of the School Commencement.
