Congratulations Nigar Kirmani, MD, and Janice Hanson, PhD, Lifetime Achievement Awardees

The Lifetime Achievement Award, established in 2021, recognizes current Washington University faculty members with at least twenty years of service as faculty in an academic teaching setting who has shown a lifelong commitment to education and demonstrates excellence in one or more domains of educational service, leadership or scholarship.

Nigar Kirmani, MD is a Professor of Medicine, Infectious Diseases Division. Her main interest lies in the education of students, residents and fellows. She is course master of the Infectious Diseases course for second year medical students and serves on the preclinical curriculum evaluation committee, and the committee for academic evaluation of students.

Janice Hanson, PhD, EdS, MH, is a Professor of Medicine, Division of Medical Education and the of Director of Medical Education Research Unit (MERU), Office of Education and
Director of Education Scholarship Development, Office of Education Division of Medical Education.
