Dr. Mittal specializes in the intricate dynamics of host-pathogen interactions, with a particular emphasis on the innate immune response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Dr. Mittal’s work continues to advance our understanding of TB pathogenesis and immune evasion mechanisms, providing valuable insights that could inform future therapeutic and vaccine development strategies. Dr. Mittal currently works in the Jen Philips Lab.
Hongmin Ma, PhD, was promoted to assistant professor of medicine, infectious diseases division. Dr. Ma is skilled in Cell Biology, Science, Molecular Biology, Research, and Teaching. His PhD focused in Immunology of aquatic animals from Ocean University of China. Dr. Ma currently works in the Diamond Lab.
Pallavi Chandra, PhD, was promoted to assistant professor of medicine, infectious diseases division. Dr. Chandra specializes in Mycobacterium tuberculosis pathogenesis, with a special focus on immunometabolism. In recent work, she characterized a novel relationship between macrophage fatty acid metabolism and antimycobacterial immunity. Dr. Chandra currently works in the Jen Philips Lab.
