Kristin Mondy, MD, FIDSA

Professor of Medicine

Kristin Mondy, MD, is a Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her clinical interests include general infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS care (including primary care and expansion of telemedicine for rural populations), and antibiotic stewardship.

Dr. Mondy completed her Internal Medicine Residency and ID Fellowship at WashU Medicine. She then stayed with the Division of Infectious Diseases as a junior faculty member and clinical researcher in the area of HIV. in 2008, Dr. Mondy moved to Austin, TX where she served as a clinical educator and care provider with the internal medicine residency program at the University Medical Center Brackenridge. She also served as the lead infectious diseases provider for the Austin VA Outpatient Clinic. In 2017, she became the Inaugural Chief of Infectious Diseases for the Dell Medical School at University of Texas.

She returned to WashU Medicine in 2026. Along with teaching, Dr. Mondy is an attending on the inpatient ID consult services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
