Dr. Justin Klucher grew up in North Little Rock, AR. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Biochemistry from University of Arkansas Fayetteville. Dr. Klucher then went on to earn his medical degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences before completing his residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore in 2025.
Dr. Klucher joined WashU Medicine in 2025 for a combined Adult/Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship, and after his first year with Pediatrics, he started with Adult ID in 2026. His clinical interests include antimicrobial stewardship; longitudinal pediatric into adulthood HIV, and sexual healthcare.
On his days off days Dr. Klucher likes to visit new coffee shops in St Louis with his wife. They even recently we had the opportunity to do a coffee roasting class while in St. Louis.
Why did you choose WashU Medicine for your ID fellowship?
“I appreciated the large volume of providers between adult and pediatric infectious diseases. The Program Director, Dr. Wooten, also referred me to the Program Director for Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Dr. Rosen, after reading my personal statement. She encouraged me to consider a dual fellowship, something I had previously given up on due to concerns for it being logistically too complicated. They were welcoming and encouraging which promoted my desire to come here. Ultimately, I had a gut feeling that this was the right place for me and I’m super happy to be here now having completed my first year of Pediatric Infectious Disease fellowship.”
