Topic
Treating Hepatitis C in Pregnancy: Shared Decisions, Better Access
Host Description
Pregnant women with hepatitis C continue to face limited treatment options despite the availability of highly effective direct-acting antivirals. As the evidence base grows, there is increasing interest in understanding how hepatitis C treatment during pregnancy can improve maternal health, reduce perinatal transmission, and contribute to global hepatitis C elimination efforts.
This webinar, part of the Treatment in Pregnancy for Hepatitis C (TiP-HepC) webinar series, will bring together leading experts to examine the latest evidence on the safety of hepatitis C treatment during pregnancy, approaches to patient-provider shared decision-making, and remaining research and policy gaps. Speakers will also discuss the role of treatment in achieving global hepatitis C elimination targets and share real-world implementation experiences from humanitarian settings. Through expert presentations and an interactive panel discussion, participants will gain practical insights into the evolving landscape of hepatitis C treatment in pregnancy and the opportunities to improve care for pregnant women worldwide.
