Elvin Geng becomes co-Editor-in-Chief for Implementation Science Communications

Director of the Center for Dissemination and Implementation and Professor of Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Elvin Geng, MD, MPH stepped into the role of co-Editor-in-Chief for Implementation Science Communications in January of this year, joining Dong (Roman) Xu at its helm following the retirement from the position of the journal’s Founding EIC, Anne Sales.

Implementation Science Communications, which launched in February 2020 as a companion journal to Implementation Science, is a forum to publish research to foster the sharing of knowledge of evidence based practices and policies that affect health care delivery and health outcomes in clinical, organizational, or policy contexts.

Dr. Geng also serves in advisory and service roles, including on the WHO HIV Department Guideline Development Group (2016, 2021) — where he helped shape the prioritization agenda and provided evidence reviews. He also currently a member of the WHO Guideline Review Committee (2024-2027) that reviews guidelines across all of World Health Organization departments. He contributes to the scientific community as an Academic Editor at PLOS Medicine, Editor-in-Chief of of Implementation Science Communications, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the International AIDS Society. I
