Congratulations, Dr. Parra-Rodriguez, MD, third year fellow, for being selected for the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI), New Investigator Scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded based on the quality of the submitted abstract, application, and letter of recommendation. New Investigator Scholarship recipients are the presenting author of an accepted abstract.
All scholarship recipients are required to participate in the full conference, including the Program Committee Workshop for New Investigators and Trainees.
Dr. Parra-Rodriguez presented at CROI held in Seattle this year. The title of his abstract, EFFECT OF COMMON ANTIRETROVIRAL COMBINATIONS ON DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS IN WOMEN WITH HIV, was selected for a poster presentation and themed discussion. His mentor is Jane O’Halloran, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine.
