Armaghan-e-Rehman Mansoor, MD, and Patrick Ching, MD, MPH, both second year ID fellows have been awarded Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Trainee Abstract Travel Awards. The awards help defray the expenses of traveling to IDWeek, October 19-23, 2022, in Washington, DC.
IDWeek offers several awards acknowledging distinguished, quality scientific research presented at IDWeek. Awards are distributed to support attendance and travel needs of candidates whose abstracts have been selected and who are scheduled to present their work at the IDWeek meeting.
These abstracts will be recognized as the top submissions from trainees and the presenting author will receive an award in the amount of $1,250.
IDWeek is the joint annual meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA), the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS), and the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP). For more information please visit www.idweek.org.
This will be Dr. Mansoor’s first ever in-person attendance at IDWeek. Dr. Ching was able to attend in person in 2019. Congratulations to you both!
