Thank you for supporting the research, education and activities of the Infectious Diseases Division.

Infectious diseases constitute a world-wide public-health problem. To stay at the forefront of infectious disease treatment, Washington University faculty members and fellows depend upon resources that extend beyond those currently available in today’s economic climate.

With your help, we can continue to fulfill our mission of providing outstanding leadership and excellence in patient care, conduct ground-breaking clinical, basic and translational research, and train the next generation of leaders in academic medicine and infectious diseases. While every source of funding is important, private philanthropic support is especially vital to the success of our research and educational activities.

We invite your philanthropic partnership in helping us achieve our research and teaching missions. Your commitment could help advance a promising research study; recruit a talented physician-scientist; develop a new educational program for our trainees; or purchase a key piece of equipment or technology. Each gift truly makes a difference.

For your convenience, a number of giving options are available to directly impact our research, training, and outreach programs.

Infectious Diseases Fund in honor of Gerald Medoff, MD

Gerald Medoff, MD

Our mission is to provide outstanding clinical care, conduct ground-breaking research, and train the next generation of leaders in academic medicine and infectious diseases. Gerald Medoff, MD, has been among the most influential leaders in the School of Medicine in the past half century, and the contributions of Dr. Medoff to the field of medicine are clearly reflected in the quality of the School and in the extraordinary individuals he has mentored. It is therefore only appropriate that we honor him by creating a fund that will provide support for young trainees and junior faculty in the division, helping them transition their independent careers. We rely on outside donations and believe that you share our sense of pride in what we have been able to build, much of which is due to the leadership of Dr. Medoff.
