Katie graduated from St. Louis University with a BA is psychology in 1996 then worked as a mental health social worker for the Department of Mental Health for the State of Missouri for 3 years. She and her husband moved to Oregon in the year 2000 for five years. Katie decided to return to school at Oregon State University, to acquire pre requisites, for PA schoo. When she returned to St. Louis she obtained her Masters degree in medical science in physician assistant studies at St. Louis University in 2006. Katie’s first job as a PA was in a private Medical Oncology & Hematology private practice, the David C Pratt Cancer Center, at St. John’s Hospital. Katie started at Washington University School of Medicine in January of 2013 as a PA on the inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant units prior to joining ID. She grew up in South St. Louis and married a St. Louis native. They have two kids, aged 7 & 10 and two red heeler Australian cattle dogs. They like to hike, bike ride, garden, and travel. They spent summer 2016 in Switzerland and traveled with their kids France, Germany, Italy, and Spain and lived in a city called Basel. It was great fun.
