Assistant Professor of Medicine

Donald Hong is the Associate Medical Director of the St. Louis County Sexual Health Clinic, the Associate Medical Director of the St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center, and the Faculty Advisor for the Internal Medicine Residency’s Sexual Health Ambulatory Rotation.

Dr. Hong specializes in HIV and STI care, HIV prevention, and public health, with a special focus on outpatient HIV care, HIV PrEP implementation, inpatient outcomes for syphilis treatment, and community education regarding STI diagnosis and treatment. Through his work in the STI/HIV Prevention Training Center, he provides education around our region regarding STI/HIV prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. He attends on the General Infectious Disease inpatient consult service teaching fellows, residents, and students. He also sees patients in his outpatient virology clinic providing care for persons living with HIV and in the St. Louis County Sexual Health Clinic providing testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
